Partnership
The CRESCENDO partnership brings together a strong industrial
and academic mix of world-leading centres of excellence
with internationally recognised expertise.
CRESCENDO Objectives
Develop highly active and long-term stable electrocatalysts
of non-PGM catalysts for the PEMFC cathode and
the re-design of the cathode catalyst layer.

Environmental Benefits
Fuel cell and hydrogen based technologies can contribute towards
significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions and
therefore assisting in combating the effects of climate change.
Non-PGM catalysts
The ideal industrial goal is to manufacture PEMFC stacks for
transport application with Non-PGM catalysts, and with performance
and durability comparable to the targets defined for Pt.

Starting date: 1st January 2018 - Duration: 45 months - Coordinator: CNRS, France

EFCD2019

CRESCENDO has organised EFCD2019, the 2nd international conference Electrolysis and Fuel Cell Discussions - Towards Catalysts Free of Critical Raw Materials for Fuel Cells and Electrolysers, La Grande Motte, France, 15th-18th September 2019.
EFCD 2019 jointly organised with the European project, CREATE
